    Tonje Liavaag possesses solid expertise in labour law, tax and pensions. She advises companies, associations, public bodies and employees on issues pertaining to working life.

    Tonje provides counselling and assists with negotiations, while also supporting clients in disputes.

    Her background includes experience of restructuring and workforce reductions, individual job loss and redundancies due to changed circumstances, furlough, business transfers, contract drafting, sick leave issues, workplace conflicts, whistleblowing, provisional contracts and hiring, working hours issues, consultancy agreements, pensions questions, contractual early retirement scheme and tax questions.

    In addition, Tonje has long experience of cases relating to direct and indirect taxation. She has worked in the tax law field on both personal and corporate taxation in the Ministry of Finance and as a practising lawyer.

    Moreover, she works on a regular basis within general contract law, and also provides assistance in connection with a variety of inheritance and probate matters.

    She has worked as an assistant judge and was licensed to practice law in 2011. She regularly pleads cases in the courts.
